Group B: Dobele Won for the Sixth Time in a Row

There was only one match in Group B on the weekend. The last game of the regular season was played between the Latvian and Estonian champions. The Pölva Serviti club, which have already secured first place in the group, lost away to the ZRHK TENAX Dobele team. ZRHK TENAX Dobele moved closer to second place in the group. The winner of the group, Pölva Serviti, will meet the fourth-placed team in Group A, Granitas-Karys Kaunas, in the quarter-finals.

This is a very important victory for us in the fight for second place in the group. Now, everything is beyond our control. We are waiting to see how the remaining match of the group will play out and then we will see where we will rank. Our team made use of 100% of its opportunities in the match against Polva. We had a lot of motivation. Good defence and good goalkeeping led us to the victory. All the players who got a chance to play in the match made the most of it. We are happy with our victory.

I don’t even know what to say. Whole game we just couldn’t find our attack, something between like 10-15 shots on the 6m line we failed. That’s not okay. Also couldn’t keep the tempo as high as we wanted. Maybe one of the worst games of the season. We have to be better and stronger on everything.
