A tie in Ogre, HC Vilnius tickles the nerves of the leaders

One more week with 11 Baltic Handball league games. Two victories for Põlva Serviti (again) and Varsa Stronglasas Alytus, one game – one win for ZRHK Tenax Dobele, Viljandi HC .

  • HK Ogre/Hydrox – Granitas-Karys Kaunas                            33:33 (15:19)

HK Ogre started better and kept the lead first seven minutes of the games. After that Lithuanians took the lead with 10:7. Untill the break Granitas-Karys ran away, but HK Ogre kept chasing them. First 30 minutes ended with a Granitas-Karys lead – 19:15. In the second half HK Ogre needed only nine minutes and 45 seconds to equalize the result – 21:21. Next 20 minutes’ game ran point by point. 27 second until the end of the game Lukas Feoktistovas scored 7-meter shot and put Lithuanians in the lead, but not for long, one second before the final whistle HK Ogres player Renāts Hovratovičs scored the last goal in this game and got on the scoreboard a draw – 33:33.

HC Kehra were able to hold the lead over for the first 20 minutes. The teams played equally in the last 10 minutes of the first half and neither of team gained a significant advantage. In the second half VHC Šviesa started better and never allowed the Estonians to take over the lead, that also brought them victory – 32:29.

HC Vilnius tickled the nerves of the leaders. After first five minutes HC Vilnius was leading – 2:1. Põlva Serviti took over the lead only after 10 minutes, but after that got some good three point lead – 19:16. Although Estonians were leading by seven after eight minutes in the second half, nine minutes before the end of the game it was intense and only two point lead to  Põlva Serviti – 29:27. One and a half minute until the end of the game it was 33:29. The last two goals belonged to HC Vilnius and their reached 31:33, but the time was not enough.
